COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN
Cable First is continuously investing in the latest design software. This allows us to work with the customer at the initial design stage, with the help of our team of designers, engineers and toolmakers, we are able to design and develop the product in the most cost effective way, thus bringing the product to market faster.

We use SolidWorks 3D design software, and can provide 2D drawings and 3D computer models in a format which allows our customer to open them, spin them around, explode the assembly and measure the parts. Any notes can be attached to the file and emailed back for updating.

Finite element analysis (FEA) and motion studies can be applied to the part, animated parts with exploded views and photo quality images can be provided.
If necessary prototypes can be made giving an all round feel for the product. Once the product has been signed off it can be manufactured as a mould tool or a machined part in our in house machine shop.
